                        Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV), located in Chitrakoot,
District-Satna, Madhya Pradesh, is India’s first rural university, established with the 
vision of empowering rural communities through education, innovation, and sustainable 
development. Founded in 1991 by the legendary social reformer Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh 
with the cooperation Madhya Pradesh Government.
                    
                    
                        Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya is recognized as a UGC Category-I University 
                        and has earned an “A++” accreditation from NAAC, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and
                        institutional integrity. The university offers a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate,
                        and doctoral programs across five faculties (sixteen departments) and 03 Centres.
